Solution:
Number of saplings = 4
Distance between two adjacent saplings = \(\frac{3}{4}\) m
∴ Distance between the first and the last sapling

Lipika reads a book for \(1 \frac{3}{4}\) hours everyday. She reads the entire book in 6 days. How many hours in all were required by her to read the book?
Solution:
In 1 day Lipika needs \(1 \frac{3}{4}\) hours
In 6 days Lipika will need \(6 \times 1 \frac{3}{4}\) hours
Hence the required hours = \(10 \frac{1}{2}\).

Hence, the required distance = 44 km.
